Pricing and usage

Understand free credit, usage-based billing, and current rate discovery.

New accounts receive $15 in one-time free credit. Signup does not require a credit card. Product usage is billed against the account balance.

Pricing categories

  • Recorded transcription: billed by audio duration.
  • Realtime transcription: billed by streamed audio duration.
  • Translation: billed by tokens.
  • Summarization: billed by tokens.
  • PII redaction: billed by tokens.
  • Chat: billed by tokens.
  • Text-to-speech and voice cloning: billed by generated characters.

Rates can change, so this page does not duplicate them. Read the current values from the public pricing endpoint:

Monitor usage

Open Usage in the dashboard to inspect service usage and cost. API and SDK responses also return relevant metering information, such as token usage for text operations and character usage headers for TTS.
